Chris

looks like a good time!

the DFG really likes to check that area. not sure what they look for but they came down about 50% of the time when I fished there. usually different officers too.

Literally on the edge of a take / no take zone and lots of lobster poachers from what we've been told.

sasquatch

It's not a no take zone for shore fishing.

Copy and paste from dfg-

Recreational Fishing

Allowed Species: Finfish by hook-and-line from shore only. Pelagic finfish and white seabass by spearfishing.

Prohibited Species: All marine aquatic plants. All invertebrates.

So, no sand crabs, even if you snag it on a hook. They might let you slide with squid for bait but maybe not. Not sure if possession of invertebrates is prohibited or just "take".

That's for north of the line. South, it's all good. Never bothered to find the line exactly with gps numbers.

Sorry guys that i couldn't make it. Super bummed. Just broke due to truck problems and also had some family obligations. Yard sale took day away from the Grinner gathering:( next time! Looks like i truly missed out!
There's more than one way.. To microwave a cat!

Yep - I misspoke. Southern edge of a SMCA is what I should have said. The wall and reef just to the south of where we set up is the actual physical boundary line.

Chris

Ya it's not an MLPA it's an SMCA if I remember correctly. One officer came down and she told me it was a good thing I was releasing the leopards because she wasn't sure if they were considered fin fish or not....

You can literally pick up lobsters in the surf on some nights, it's not wonder there's poachers and the 7 gills are moving in there.
Keep it tight

faster u fool

damn I missed this.  I cant keep up anymore.  looks like a killer time out there.
GET OUT AND GET BIT..

SevengillTheVC

Damn I wish I could've made it! Looks like the fish were very cooperative! Oh well, next time.
