Well, I'm kind of running low on gas and have a lot of stuff yo do, but the report comes first.  Steve and I went to where we had a pretty good idea the Casino was located and set up.  The beach is very deciving looking as there is not a lot of visual evidence to say "Hey, here is a good spot".  We read the waves and moved into some open beach.  I had a few good bass hits before finally sticking a nice Turd Roller!

I cast back out and went to take a few pics of the bass when my rod started screaming again!  I knew what this was and it hurt every inch of me.  I forgot how brutal these surf bats are, but I'm sore today and reminded of every minute of the battle.  It measured out at 52" so very respectable.

As the sun dropped, we knew the magic hour was close at hand.

It wasn't long after dark before some shadows appeared in the darkness and told us we were in the wrong area.
Steve was just hoping for a bite.  He had a bass bite earlier, but things were quite slow for him.

Jim was planning on bay fishing, but decided to head back to the scene of the crime.   8)

The shore pound was kicking up lots of mist which meant that my cruddy camera flash was going to pick up all the snow!

In the middle of the snow was the dynamic Duo!

So it went down like this...

I came back from talking to Ray and saw I had a slack line on the rod. I reeled it in just to find my sinker 10 feet in front of me, so I cut a steak of Yellowtail and hucked it out.  There were some bites here and there, but nothing yet.  I then noticed my line go slack again and started reeling as fast as I could.  After reeling in 3/4 of my line I set the hook on something.  I thought it was a small leopard, but to my surprise, it was the Ray-Tying Sevengill!

A little runt at 55", but a Sevengill none-the-less and on Yellowtail!

Then the bites started coming as Ray hooks into a nice Seven!  He foul hooked it in the tail, so it only counts as half a fish.....  OK, I know he won't let that happen, so he got a nice 80" Sevengill!  He has the pictures of it that he will post .  Damn, I slipped back to one behind in the PS Shark List.

I was beat and ready to go.  I even cut off my rig and was ready to walk when Steve finally got the right bite!
He was a happy Squatch with this 74" model!

The fish were thick and in breeding mode as the one male with claspers had a huge erection.  I think it was the way Ray was patting him.   :o ;D

In any case, it was a triple seven evening... or another night at the Casino.

Great fishing with you and nice to see the P-Soul Shark List getting bigger!

Until Next Tide!
You can't catch them from your computer chair.

Stayed way longer than I planned, but glad I did. Funny how one bite can change a slow night into success.

Love how you're eyeballing that sucker, Steve.

Dam Ray, What the heck are you doing to that poor 7?  Looks like your walking a drunk friend home from the bar.

Seriously though, great job on another triple 7 night.
