Damn Jim, I don't even want to post my good session now!  ;D

Well, crap.... the roller coaster of fishing.  Highs and lows with everything in-between.  The Laws of averages will come back around and put you on top again!
You can't catch them from your computer chair.

That's better than my last outing ... minus the swim.

That's 3 people dunked in the last week alone  ;D ;D ;D and I got to witness two of em.

Hey, that's casino beach. Fitting name. You win some you lose some. House won yesterday.
Soaked you, and today I've got a nice limp going on and purple and blue toe lol

You looked so dejected as you were leaving, I didn't have the heart to tell you about the bass I caught. Hope that reel cleans up good as new and I'm glad you are ok.

Doused the reel but sand is everywhere so the Saltist has become the Sandist and will be off to Daiwa hoping to get it back before the bat fight.

The cold started seeping in real quick so I had to ditch the wet shirt. My wife was none too thrilled with me out washing gear shirtless in wet pants at 11:30 at night. Got that annual surf baptism out of the way now.  :o

Gotta watch that casino beach. Surf forecast be damned some big rollers come in. Not a beach to wade in too far for casting.

Yep Ray the house beat both of us this trip. Guess that is paying the piper for the good nights.

That's a thing?!!  ;) Yeah, you looked pretty bummed. I would too. I'm sure the glory of your 1st 7-gill will help ease your pains.
I was served up a skunk, but I'll take that over a dunking any day! Binh fared a bit better than me:

Ouch!

Only thing worse than sandy gear is a kick to the nuts.  :-[

I wish your tackle a speedy return from Daiwa!
BAT FIGHT!!! SD4TH3W1N 2016

The last time my saltist fell in the sand I took it to daiwa, they did a good job.

The chick that works at the desk is pretty hot.

Sorry about the dunk Jim!
Let me know if you ever dunk the saltist again jim, I can show you how to service it yourself. I do all of mine, I will actually be re-building my 40 this weekend for the batfight. It's better to do it yourself anyway as you can install the carbontex instead of the daiwa drags which is much smoother(IMHO).
It's all Tom and Don's fault! They "hooked" me on mud marlins and sharks!

Thanks Joe but I had to go out of town for a week so I wouldn't have had the time. Maybe once back, you can show me how to upgrade the drag.
