Fish Jerk

OK. I finally picked up my first 7-gill after trying for so long.
It was a fine male specimen with fully engorged claspers. Definitely in full  breeding mode. Length was 88"
Bait was a middle chunk of Bonito.
Conditions were 1-3 with some good shore pound every few minutes.
Picked him up just after peak high.

Almost forgot, caught in VC.

BTW, were you using wire leader? Come to think of it I don't remember seeing any when you were trying to pry the 10/0 out of the corner of his jaw...

Yep, definitely using wire on everything now. I was using 275lb 49 strand cable on that rig with a 13/O circle.
