Since the wind was way to strong on the beach to fish, I decided I'm not just going to go home. Head over to the back up spot that is great to have when the surf zone is just unfishable. The wind was strong even at 4AM

Decided to throw the 3 inch Sexy Smelt BH with some Uni-butter applied. Picked a decent spot and I saw some baitfish get freaked out and create a huge boil. Something was chasing them. Corvina maybe? Glad I was there to see in person. After a few cats in a few missed hook sets, I finally time it just right and was happy to get this Corvina.  They are a lot of fun to catch. Couple quick pics and back in she went.

I think shortly after I hooked another Corvina, just by the way the line was tugging but it came off. That's when the Bass started biting the plastic.

Inhaled this one.

Another Spotted Bay Bass

They were really liking the uni-butter this morning. Used the same plastic for all the fish today, which was nice. The plastic was pretty beat up at the end. Not bad for a .69 cent lure. Bummed out about the conditions on the beach but was happy to go and make it work some where else. Fun morning of catching fish for sure. Ended with about 5 Spotted Bay bass.

Good luck to everyone if you go out. Thanks for reading.

It's funny how many vina are up in that area now.  Great report as usual Joel.
You can't catch them from your computer chair.
