Wrath of the eelgrass demons...

Like Tom I hit an easy walk from parking AO.

Goal was some perch or croaker for catfish bait. Got one croaker then the demons rose.

First I have been fighting my bass rig with backlashes and tonight it was the worst I have ever had on any rig.  >:( :o >:( Cut and yanked all the braid out and filled with 20 lb mono and no lashes at all so the 20 size Saltist hates braid.

Then the eelgrass and kelp rose with the tide to biblical plague levels. Tossed the bass rig, walked to the holder, placed it in, count to 10 and you had a basketball sized clump.  >:(

Big rod got a multi clump set that must have take 15 minutes to dig out the rig.

It got unfishable by 10 and I stuck it out for a another half hour.

Glad to see some had a better night.

Damn Jim!  Yikes!  We had some bad kelp problems and Steve reeled in a HUGE kelp along with lots of floating grass, but we still got some soak time before it got too bad.  I didn't see your second text until this morning.  I was pretty toasted by the time we headed down to the beach.

Oh well, you know how it goes.  You still got a bigger 7-gill than I have ever caught.  My biggest was only 102".
You can't catch them from your computer chair.
