Had a couple macs left and time for a short session after work last night.  Hit the same spot hoping to find them still hungry.
Wind and waves were very low, but so was the tide the current was carrying lots of chopped greens.

I couldn't keep my bait in the water for more than 10-15 minutes before it loaded up with weeds.  No sharks this time, but I did manage an new PB bat ray at 38".  Not big for this forum, but it beat my last one by 7"  :D

Congrats Chad!  They'll only get bigger from here on out!
You can't catch them from your computer chair.

Ahhhh sheeez, at least you left some VC 7's for us this weekend, but I don't like the sound of your salad report at all, WT?...I don't get that since the surf and swell has been so non-existent this past week. I'm not a marine botanist so I don't know all the factors that create the salad like that, I've just always assumed it was rough seas, apparenty not... :-\

Joe, I wasn't expecting it either with the calm conditions.  Only thing I can think of is that it was because of the low tide and strong current????

There OK if they're the only game in town and they're your target, but if not, I kind of liken them to a backlash/birdsnest, in the sense that they can seriously detract from the time you could be soaking bait.
