Just some numbers to throw around your noggin when you read this.

SoCal Shark Totals By Year

2014 - Only 9 sharks since May (the Inception of Prehistoric Soul).  Few members and people trying for them, but Steve and I were hitting it hard.

2015 - 50 sharks on the beach, caught and released. I was figuring we would see 40-60 sharks on a good year with enough people fishing for them.

2016 73 sharks on the sand and we only hit the half way mark!!!  WoW...  Not really sure what's going on, but let's keep it up!

My two cents is that there are more people fishing for them and reporting them now. Thanks to this site.  ;D

Fish Jerk

It would be interesting to see if the Ventura and SD populations intermingle from year to year.

I use to hope for one opportunity a night.  Now it seems like there are always multiple opportunities in an evening as well as multiple sharks in a single trip by one angler!

Otherwise, thanks for liking P-Soul!  lol
