Bullhead city in MV

Need another carp for IV bait so been hitting a spot where several large carp are but I cannot get past the bullheads.

The carp are smart and not falling for anything but the bullheads are relentless. Must have caught 6 in 2 hours while getting bait stolen by tiny panfish.

Little bastids swallow the hook half the time making me retie  as precious rat free time ticks away.

Bullheads are mean little fish. Always biting at the hook removal tool. One scraped the bejesus out of my finger once trying to unhook it.

Maybe try cut bullhead for channel cat bait??

They are mean fish, I keep one in an aquarium years ago and it had to be kept alone. It would kick any fishes ass I  tried putting in the same tank, inluding Red Devils, Jack Dempseys, etc. Sorta like a pit bull of the fish world, it would just latch on to the other fish with its jaw and not let go.

LOL, those yellow bullheads have a nasty bite to them.  It never ceases to amaze me how little they look compared to the Channel's and yet put a wallop on your thumb!

Yeah bullheads have a crazy powerful bite compared to other catfish.

I would hate to imagine that bite power and attitude in a Blue or Flathead.
