Well pretty close anyway.
Hey SD guys, we'll be down in Carlsbad on the 17th-19th visiting my Grandma.
I'd love to fish with some of your guys (but not all LOL) if you're available, and I'd love to add a Soupfin to my list!
I probably can only fish one nigth, the 17th or the 18th.  Gotta spend time with the family too  :)
I'd like to stay as close to Carlsbad as possible if there's any good spots to maximize fishing time.
If none of you can make it, maybe I could at least get a nudge in the right direction.
Thanks!

There are options near C'bad. Have to see what the surf looks like before I make plans.

Look at ponto beach which is in Carlsbad. Probably the biggest option that is close.

Anybody have an emergency beer?

Bummer, looks like the surf is going to be big next weekend  :-\
Any other options for me in that area??

A guy could hit the lagoon off tamarack for bats. Or halibut. Or croaker.

Decent place to soak baits with a few kids in tow.

No idea what's biting, been awhile, but you could check with pacific coast bait n tackle.

Tired of big surf weekends.

South Ponto is covered in cobble all the way up through the campground... the lagoon is the better option if surf is up

Hey guys, any chance that the grinner gathering location will have smaller surf than the 4-6' that is predicted?
Also, if we decide to head down to fiesta island, would anyone else want to join?
Looking more at Saturday night now since it looks like rain on Friday.

I'd stay out of the bay. Rumor has it some evil drones dropped bananas all over the place, cursing it and all who fish there for years.

;D

Ok guys, looks like the rain will back off tomorrow afternoon so we'll probably fish tomorrow (Saturday) night. I really wanted to fish the soup kitchen it it looks like the surf will be too big.
If it is too big there then we'll either head down to FI and fish the bay or give Tamarak lagoon a shot.
I'm still open to any other options do you guys think might be better.

Let me see what is on my schedule as I might be able to get to MB, but definitely won't be able to make it to the lagoon.
You can't catch them from your computer chair.

Could possibly meet up for some bay action on the 19th if it's going to be a evening sesh.

Hey Chad, sorry but I'm out. I totally forgot about the father/daughter dance tonight and had to have my daughter remind me. Ugh. Sorry I can't make it tonight, but hopefully someone can make it out to meet up with you.
