Well, bummer on the position, but definitely keep checking back with them.  Are you moving in with your girl when you come out here? 
Good luck on the remote work if your boss is good with it and say Bye-Bye to snow and winters unless if you want to drive up to it.   ;D

Well shoot, plan B fell through.  Boss is ok with working remotely, but boss's boss vetoed it.
