Now that I've got some free time on my hands, I've been taking the opportunity to do some research and getting off my fat ass and putting some serious time in on the sand. Hit up at least 6 different spots looking to make bait, fish lures in the surf and long rodding. Nothing picture worthy, as the surf/salad/wind/dirty water has really messed up things.

But... we got our first legit runner of the year from the bay yesterday.

We were really not expecting to catch anything, more of a Friday afternoon day drinking session, but we were pleasantly surprised. We managed to put a couple of baby sh!t sharks and leos on the sand, and then it happened. A legitimate bendo. No doubt about what it was, unfortunately it was running straight for a buoy and when the Dentist tightened his drag, the 30lb mono on his ghost leader popped.

Oh well, it was something. Hopefully the water conditions will improve and we'll start to see some serious action soon ;D
Anybody have an emergency beer?

30# mono....  That's standard bass line.  :o ;D

Oh well, good seeing you take advantage of the time and use it in the surf!
You can't catch them from your computer chair.
