It seems like I've been bringing more and more down with me on my shark and Ray trips lately.  Thankfully most of the bay areas are close by and the hike there isn't too bad. These trips on the beach though have been a torcher on my shoulders and back.

Therefore, I made a solution to many of the issues I have with my gear when going down for the long soak...  I wasn't spending that money for a beach cart, so I put together my own.

This should solve some fishing limitations and increase my range a good deal.

Hopefully the tires don't provide to much drag? I've bin debating on doing similar with a dolly and swapping the tires, since the carts are pretty damn expensive, let us know how it works man :)

I got the cart off of craigslist for cheap and the tires work very good.  Unfortunately, the tires lost the bead and I have to constantly refill them.  I think it is time to get new tires now, but I had no trouble on the soft sand, but it worked the best on the harder wet-pack.  I'll update you on future trips to the beach.

Dave, I walk "side by side" with it so it doesn't hit me.  It actually travels very easy and I take it out when making the long hikes at TP.  There are only a few beaches that I'll pack it up for.  Since it's a heavy steel cart, it's a pain to get into and out of my little truck bed, but it serves its purpose.

Gotcha -

Yeah that would be good at a few spots I know.

What I really need is an elevator chair lift for others. Sucking fricken wind the other night and must have pulled both calfs LOL ... Sucks being oval shaped.  :-[ :-\ :-\
