This is prime surf shark fishing time and when we should be hitting the grinners the hardest! But Noooooo..... the surf wants to make it hard on us.

Has anyone been fishing?  Even little rod fishing?
You can't catch them from your computer chair.

I'm at pismo right now. Didn't even bring a rod.

Going to go off Tuesday on the sharks though.

It has been nasty. Wanted to take Kitty out for a bait run but waves are 6 feet out in the ocean.

Need to drop her in a lake for a speed test and hoped to do a La Jolla run but no way with 6 foot seas.

I take days off and conditions go to pot. :(

There is always the IV though.

Surf up here is moderate, but even at 2-3 ft predicted they are at least a foot taller, and with some gnarly rip. Hoping to target some sharks tomorrow. On a side note wen't the Aquarium of the Pacific yesterday and when looking at the shovelnoses one of the employees came up and very smugly said "You know you can touch it if you want!" Felt like throwing my hand in there and tailing it lol!

Chris

I did a recon of San onofre on Saturday. The white sea bass and spotfin should be starting to show and the surf was PUMPING!!! There was a nice rip that seems to always be available to fish on the base side and I've always been able to pull something out of it but the beach is all cobble stone. Maybe I'll attach some rod holder to the truck bed and yak a couple baits out.
Keep it tight

It's been tough on the light gear, but I did manage a couple of these

Hit Soup Kitchen last night for a skunk. Washing machine conditions. My baits were shredded from critters. I ran over a screw as I exiting the freeway on the way to the beach to add insult to injury. Big a$$ screw too! Luckily, my tire never went flat. So I fished ;) Guess what I'm doing for lunch today >:(

Glad it wasn't in the sidewall!

Yep. At least you were able to drive. I came up from the casino to see the tire blown off the rim. I still can't figure that one out, unless it was Josh.  ;D
