The ones I've ran into didn't mention anything and I've been hitting Oceanside to Dana point frequently. Some of them are pretty laid back just don't be stupid. They don't like media attention and support the right to hunt and fish as much as we do.

I think these numbers are making history, if they start a shark cull like they have in other places I'm gonna have a serious freak out

IMO it's nothing really new. I blame drones and social media for the new awareness of them but in reality they've been spotted by helicopters and from piers in reports dating to the 80's.

Great question Jim and there's only one way to find out. Calling out all you LA anglers, especially those with a lot of grinner gear, but don't use it...
