Went out loaded for bear and had an alarm going off on the boat. Stayed near to shore and called Sunset Marine. Checked a few things and it stopped. May be a bad speaker. Needs further investigation

So landed 3 skimpy little macs. Headed out into the ocean but stayed close due to the alarm. Got bupkis for hours then rod on the bottom rig bent hard. Got my ass whupped for the next 15 + minutes by a 6 foot soupfin.

Gotta give credit to the pre made rock cod rigs at Wal Mart. 60 lb test and that held up to this battle. Thankfully the circle hook did it's job and latched in the corner of the mouth.

I was afraid it may have been a BSB. Sucked out half the spool on hookset.

Good thing is it bit on my old Tiger rod/506 set that has never caught anything. Was beginning to think it was a jinx rig.

I found the mother lode of them yesterday...... and needed one of your Walmart rigs  ...nothing I had on me could get one of those soupies up.  :o
