Do we have an OC Soup Kitchen?

Got lines in at 5:30pm. Was using sardines with 6/0 on a 3 way clip down. Put a 29" ray on the sand first cast, and got good bites with every cast after that, but no hookups >:(

Matt shows up around 7pm and tosses out a bonito head. Bendo for a nice 55" leo. Tosses out another chunk of bonito for another nice leo at about 50". Then it happened. Matt's reel really goes off and it sure looks like what we really came for :) He sets the hook and it's looking really sharky. But it cut him off on a rock or reef. His 100lb heavy mono leader was shredded pretty bad.

Liking this spot. Much cooler Vibe then the Northern OC Beaches. Lot is supposed to close at 10pm, but it looks like you could stay a little longer :)

We'll be back 8)

Matt loving life.

Anybody have an emergency beer?

Yes, from SC pier to Dana and salt creek have soup. You'll have to find your spot though.
