So every year I take mom out to LJ on the boat to look for whales, dolphin and catch a few fish.  The weather was perfect, but unfortunately, my mom all of a sudden gets Sea-Sick so this trip was a slow going type of trip.  I'll let the pictures tell the story.

Dad got to my place to drop mom off at 7:00am

Left around 7:30am

X marks the spot?  hahaha, it felt good heading out to sea again.

Beautiful conditions and no dolphin, but I think these are legit porpoise!

We caught over 2 dozen fish, but let a lot go.  We caught 6 sheepshead, but only kept two and released some others my mom deemed "Too Pretty".

We got a few double headers also which was neat for mom.

Mom finally had it as she was way too sick at this point.  The Dramamine wasn't working, so we hauled in the lines and headed for the barn.  Along the way we came across some feeding Dogs and Porpoise.  It was pretty cool to watch them school up and feed on the bait!

Well, after that fun, we headed back to clean the boat and carve up the bounty.  Only kept 13, but that was plenty!

Thanks for reading and will someone catch one of the big surf sharks already!!!!
You can't catch them from your computer chair.

Why do they call it a treefish, son?

They smell like sap, mom, see?

Love the smile on your mom, looks like it started out a little "chilly".  Awesome pictures of the Orcas, if I was a seal I'd been trying to learn to fly myself   ;D
