Woke up and checked the current conditions.  I was ready to bail after the seeing strong winds, cold weather and rain... besides the small craft advisory.  I have not seen the little bay in quite a while and thought this would be a good day to check out what the dredging did this past year.

Squatch and I departed from the ramp around 8:00 with 15 knot winds in our face ...and it only got worse as the day went on.  No rain to speak of and very little fish while hitting my old favorite MB fishing holes.

Squatch ended up with 4 bass.

I ended up with one big mackerel for shark bait, 6 Bass and a baby halibut.  The Halibut was carefully targeted by trolling a Rapala over some deep submerged grass beds in which the bait was only running 4 feet.  hahahaha, that's what I was telling Steve, but he know's what happened.

I ended up with 6 bass (mostly on the 3/8 oz blade), 1 halibut, and 1 Mackerel.

Basically fishing sucked, but we did hear from the lifeguards that there were divers planting eel grass in all of the dredged areas this summer and things should be back to normal soon.

Have a wonderful New Year and enjoy the last moments of 2018!
You can't catch them from your computer chair.
