Had a chance to get out of the house, my cousin said she would hang with my folks.  Hence, me and Dre met up around 4:00 for a afternoon/evening session.  Conditions could not have been better, zero surf and no grass.  Even though the forecast called for 18 mph winds off the ocean, at worst they were maybe 6 or 8.  Baits in the water by 4:15 and by 4:45 my spool started spinning, at first I figured it was a bat.  As soon as it came tight the fish made a leap in the air and I knew it was the right kind.  The bats were killing Dre, he put a few on the sand with two of them going 50".  I had to be home by 9:00 to relieve my cousin, it was hard to leave because in the last 20 minutes we got 3 of the right kind of bites.  Good to get out and decompress from my obligations at home, and even better to catch a couple fish.

Plus a high 50's leo for good measure

P.S.  A guy came up to us when I was on the phone concerning my mother's status, I was waiting to hear her blood pressure numbers.  You came up to me and I kind of waved you off hoping you would wait for me to finish.  Before we could talk you went around the rocks and Dre told me you knew my name.  Didn't mean to be rude my man, sorry if it seemed that way.  PM me so we can connect....respect, Verne

Well deserved Verne!  You are keeping up on the list! I have a feeling a lot of the old posters will be past this year!

Two beauties!
You can't catch them from your computer chair.

Nice Vern! I'm impressed that the forecast called for 18mph and you still went lol

Without going into details I can't plan my trips around the tides or conditions, I have to get out when the opportunity presents itself.  Just got lucky and the conditions worked out in my favor   ;D
