Got an invite late Sat night to go to Coronado Sun morning. My buddy wanted to look for yellowtail, so I renewed my Mex license and FMM and met him at Shelter Island at 5:30.  Long story short we didn't find yellowtail (and it didn't look like any of the other private boats or sport boats were finding them either), but we loaded up on eating size sculpin and whitefish.

Same spot we were getting them a few weeks ago. Excellent going Ben! It's nice to have a plan B when plan a isn't working.
You can't catch them from your computer chair.

Pinoyfisher

Tasty! A cooler full of sculpin with their spines intact is a little scary. I like to clip them off right after taking them off of the hook.

White fish is better tasking then any other rock fish in my opinion.  ;D

Whitefish are really just  Tilefish and tilefish are tasty no matter where you catch them!
