Hannah loved all the bass she caught on her new rod/reel last week, so wanted to go out again.  Her plan was to double last weeks catch and maybe catch something other than a bass.

More boats at the ramp then I thought there would be, but were on the water by 7:00.

I told her she didn't have to wear the mask out here, but she liked having it.  I kind of think it's the kids new fashion thing.....

It didn't take long until we got in a steady pick of fish.  It was fun watching her cast, hook, battle and land so many bass.  We had the fish clicker and Hannah was shocked on how the bass added up if you weren't paying attention.

We drove to multiple spots trying to find something other then bass, but the first 4 stops all produced just bass.

I finally break the bass streak with a 17" corvina!  Hannah was happy to see something other then a bass.

We went on a much better last two hour run then the first 2 hours.

Hannah got her first Corvina!

Mixed it up with bass and corvina from here.  Hannah got a small second corvina and we wound up with 6 total for the morning!

Nice spotty

When we were at 21 fish, I asked Hannah what was the goal for the morning?  She said 55...  I usually like to count in sets of 10, but 55 it is...

Well, we got to 55 and the bites stopped, so we packed it in.

On the way home she said "That's the biggest birds nest I've ever seen!".  Sure enough, there were two big ospreys in the nest.  My phone camera zoom sucks, but it could have been a great shot with Jaw's big telephoto lens!  LOL

Thanks for reading!  Have a great holiday weekend!

You can't catch them from your computer chair.
