Need as many hiding spots as I can come up with since my wife only works from home now.  There no escape... so getting a covered patio built so I can have a lounging area, bar and outdoor kitchen...

Footers in..

Sticks in the air!

Should have a bit more done tomorrow.

Weird. Your patio looks almost like dirt.

Not me.  I have someone doing the work at a friend's rate, so I'm on his busy schedule.  I think that was the original plan, but the shortage of wood along fitting me in and all of the other things has him doing it in some crazy order, or at least how I see it.  He got the wood while it was available.

I "Think" his next plan is to get the painter in to paint it before the roofer comes in to do his thing.  Then the concrete work....

The post holders are set up now as anchors for when the rebar and patio get paved over it, so it won't be going anywhere, at least from what he tells me.  I'm sure this is all not ideal, but everyone seems to be in a two month waiting list and my friend's price break requires squeezing me in when he has opportunity.

This is all just from my observation and some conversation.  Things seemed to have switched orders the last few conversations.

When it's all said and done, you will really love the space ;)

I'm with Tim.

You can put some chairs out right now if you want and test drive it.

Slow and steady wins the race I guess.  It took a week of prep and paint, but the seams are caulked and all the rough spots are smoothed out with bondo before getting brush and roller painted...  It will be nice to finally actually see the patio part.  I test drove it with a c*cktail sitting in a chair, but ready for the bar and TV.

Glad to see that you filled in between the joists to keep the birds from nesting and making a mess, looks really nice 8)

My folding chairs in the dirt out back were nice for a few days, but this needs to move along.  Supposedly by Friday they are planning to pour the pad... hopefully I'll get my boat back and return to a shiny new cement patio.  With that said, neither may happen as I'm even still waiting for insurance approval on my MRI...  WTF 2020!!!!!

While the cement is still wet, instead of a hand print let's see a shark tooth or a fish skeleton, that would be cool ;D
