Have hit the surf before the big surf a few times solo and with Josh for nada. Been damn COLD! I've noticed the older I get, the more I hate the cold and value fishing in comfort.

Fishing? Hell, I've been struggling to drink beer. It's cold out in the parking lot of the brewery. And that's at least dry.

My fairly new job has a start time of 6am, so now I'm up by 430a. It's been nearly impossible to fish during the week like I used to. Freezing temps isn't helping either.

My biggest sevens have been caught in sub 40° air temp, so I'm looking forward to more of those nights in the upcoming months. I think the thing to do is yell into the frozen winds "is that all you got" so it doesn't break your spirit and take your soul.

Before moving to Cali, I used to ice fish every year.  With that said, I used to walk into the house swearing that I was going to lose my hands and feet.... Nope.  I'll possibly do it again, but only if i can fish from a shack like you see in "Grumpy Old Men".   hahaha
