I'll give my best synopsis as I was pretty much walking in a cloud the entire time.  Usually I put in 18 hours at the Bat Fight giving us every last chance, but this time I couldn't as my back would not allow it.  I took the morning off but had a steady stream of intel coming in all morning.  I had the War Room going at home and we at least our boys picked away at sporadic bite all  morning.  29" to 44" were the size range.

I popped some pain killers and made my way down to the Main location.  There was about 15 people set up with 30 rods in the sand.  We had two other satellite groups fishing other parts of the bay, so we had some ground covered and good communications.

I set up the welcome sign when I recognized a face I haven't seen in 5+ year... the monkey in the middle, Bud.  Let say he hasn't changed one bit in all that time that has passed.  The man gets drunker than I humanly think is possible, and I know some good drunks.  Mike and Joe got to watch some pure comedy all afternoon until he mysteriously disappeared.  lol

The crowds started to get here.  Tim's Clan arrived with some great fire wood as he usually brings the good stuff every year!  we even had some peeps from Arizona down to fish and enjoy the festivities!

Dave assumed the position.

Familiar faces in familiar places.

We even got a visit from the Mayor!

Nicky propping the site!

We had a slow pic of bats to 44".  I didn't take a lot of pics, but I got some great video on the GoPro that I still need to download and edit.

While we were fishing, we had plenty of sun worshippers out on the beautiful day running over our lines.  All of a sudden a ski boat comes flying over our lines in a no wake zone.  We had the entire beach, so it looked like they were going to clip one of us, when the girl in the front of the boat pulled her bikini top down, letting some big-beautiful knockers bounce with the waves and wind for everyone on shore.  It's funny how you can go from Mad to Glad within a tenth of a second!  lol

I think JKim got some shots.  Hopefully he'll share them even if he has to blur out something.  8)

Stacey, our photographer showed up and started snapping pics.  Hopefully she gets them up early this week to share, but she was a very nice person and her son was a little guy and I think had a blast hanging out with a bunch of stinky fishermen.

Tim and Paul's kids were keeping the chum slick going...  while having a lot of fun on the beach.

Dave and Roger used to do this in the 60's.

The fire got going...

... and so did the bites!

Like I said, I hope people took pics of the battle and fish as I was videoing most of the time.  I put my GoPro away at night though as it takes terrible night vids.

Tim's Pop.

Fishing got tough, and Jimmy lost a big fish earlier, but he was about to drop the mike on the event!

56.5"

Congrats Jimmy!  Nicely done!  we were thinking of that huge 55" caught earlier and was running out of hope until the magic chum brought the beast to the fight!

I'm making a movie so should have it done for viewing this week or so.  Keep your eyes out for it!

Congrats all to another fine event!

Another great Bat Fight. It was fun getting to see everyone in one place. The icing was team SD taking home another win. (P.S. Next time I'll tell my buddy to slow the boat down so everyone can get a better view of his girlfriend's Ta-tas) ;D

All the work you put into organizing, t shirts, whatever really was worth it once again. Heck, I even got a fish.

Pretty cool write up and great pics 8) I always look forward to this event, thanks for making it possible for everyone to participate :)

Congrats to Team SD!  I was only able to spend a brief time at MB but it was a nice day to see old friends.  Didn't even get a chance to take that many photos because I was too busy catching up with everyone.  But here are a few that I was able to snap...

SNBF is too much fun! I wish we had more events like this throughout the year, not just once. Maybe a shark fight? Although, I think NorCal may dominate it, like SD dominates ;) Sucks to be from OC or LA.
