Man, that seemed out of left field for me.  Back when SNL was at their height, he was one of the memorable & legend cast members.
You can't catch them from your computer chair.

Yeah way out of left field, real gut punch. He kept the cancer a secret from everyone including his family. Ever the unique fellow.
