Well, it's almost time to start prepping the garden for new crops but I still have old corn stalks , weeds galore and pepper plants hanging on by a thread :o :-[ :-[ Time to tune up the tiller and get busy :) :)

Tim524

Garden has been tilled up and almost ready to plant. After a good cleaning and another round of rain, I think I will fertilize and till one more time before planting. Hopefully the gophers are as scarce as the Bats ;D

My neighbors will like the view of corn soon instead of weeds :-[

After fixing the starter on the tiller and about an hour of working the soil, it looks pretty good 8) It reminded me that my shoulder was not healed 100%  :o ???

Hope to have some fish heads for fertilizer if the wind ever stops blowing ::)

I finally got things cleaned up and planted the garden. Peppers, tomatoes, zucchini and corn. Last year did pretty good so I hope for the same results this year. Corn should yield about 40 dozen ears 8)

I freeze some, we eat some and my neighbors get some :) Fresh corn is so good on the BBQ As well so it gets eaten pretty fast 8)

Tim524

Well, the garden is a month old already :o Everything is on par 8)

It has been overcast and cool the past few days so hopefully the sun will show up this week. Hope everyone has a safe Memorial Day  ;)

Wow, Your gardens are impressive!  I never knew how much work and money goes into a garden.  We started our first this spring (my oldest, Bailey, wanted to do it).  She has put in a lot of research and time on it, and I've put in a lot of labor and cash.  We have raspberries growing in the box on the right and veggies sprouting in the other two.  Had to fence them in so the deer wouldn't get all the goodies.

Nice Chad!  Yep, not much in the way of deer issues down here.  i forgot what a pain they are in certain parts of the country.  Looking good!
