Federal Jury Duty

First off, you don't really get a choice nowadays when they select you.  You need to call for 2 weeks after 6:00pm every day to see if you have to go in.  I also got a phone call from them saying there was a fine and/or jailtime if I fail to report... they even sent me emails reminding me to not forget with the same information.  This is a far cry from the local jury duty for sure!

I was a week and a day into my phoning the message line and it always said call back tomorrow at 6:00pm.

I forgot to call Monday night and as I was getting ready for work on Tuesday morning, remembered I forgot and called after I got out of the shower... Mother f@cker... I was called in.

Never been on this side of the street before...





I'll keep from boring you about all the details, but they weren't playing around.  It was a lot more than the usual jury duty I've done in the past and they weren't having any of it.  I was thinking I hoped it wasn't some cartel case where they pointed everyone out on the jury!  I only thought that because they told us there would be NO News, Social Media, or anything that would possibly tip off the case we would be on.  Jeezus...

Thankfully, I was relieved from consideration and my time served for 2 years.  All I had to tell them was that Kogahead was the Soap on the Rope Bandit and responsible for the recent mass sodomies at the old folks' homes across AZ.  Whew, that was a lucky break for me!

As for the lack of posting, it's because I only have access from one browser on one computer.  I need to get this fixed ASAP!

What Bullsh!t.....  I finish up Federal Jury Duty and I get a County Jury duty notice in the mail.   Grrrrrr.
