Great trip on the beach this morning. Small surf made for an enjoyable day. All
to few of them in the weekends when I can fish this year. This ended up being my best day this year in the sand so far. First fish was a legal Hali, on cast 3. Figured it was close enough that I might have triggered the infamous "first cast curse". Fortunately, the fish gods were in a good mood and a dozen or so casts later got legal hali # 2. Thus began a steady pick on Hali's and WSB. Ended up landing 7 halibut and 6 WSB including a nice 31" legal WSB. All fish but 1 halibut came from the same spot, indeed standing on the same rock at the same spot.  All in all, an excellent day on the water.
