Kaiser finally called yesterday and I got a date for my knee replacement.  They said after 3 months they'll do the other one.  The date is cosmic, April 9th.  That is Little Bit's (granddaughter) birth/death day, gotta believe it's a sign.  Something about using a walker for a couple weeks seems really humbling, going to make sure no one has a camera in the house   🤣

Oh man, well congrats on getting the Sx date finally set.  Weird how certain things fall on certain days and almost feels scripted.

Get those knees all fixed and bionic.  I'll reach out to Theresa to get me some pictures.  ;D

It must be a good sign ;) Pay the extra $20 and get grease fittings ;D  Hope you have a speedy recovery :)

You'll be wondering why you waited so long in no time

Good luck Verne, hope recovery is quick and smooth. Spend the extra $20 and get the boca ceramic bearings, they will last longer in saltwater.

Good luck, we really need pics.

Glad you got a date pinned down. Good luck with the surgery, Verne. I had my right re-done years ago and they said I'll need the left worked on at some point. I walked with a cane for a long time. It was humbling, but I got through it. You will too.

I like checking in here because I never know what I'll find, from fishing reports to recipes to knee surgery, lol.

Plus one day I'll have enough posts elevate from Mud Marlin status to what, Leopard Shark?

Lol. I liked those freaky-looking shovelnose, so I have something to aspire to.

Hope you are well, Tom.

I asked a local if they've seen any shovelnose in recent years at sunset beach. He said "no nothing exotic like that." I thought it kinda funny to call a shovelnose exotic, considering they will absolutely flood the area when they do come through. Haven't seen one in a few years though.

Back in the 90's and early 2000's, we would catch absolute beasts in the bay all the time!  Now, I am totally shocked just getting a medium sized one back there.  I really haven't surf stalked in a while either, so I'm not sure of their abundance anymore.

I'm sure the abundance of white sharks may play some role...
