Put the boat in this morning around 6:00, back on the trailer by 6:15.  The steering cable is way to stiff, so gonna do something.  Not sure if I'm going to replace the cable (involves removing motor) or installing hydraulic steering.  Any thoughts and or experience?  Thanks in advance, Verne

Might just need to be greased, that happened to The Ass Rack a couple times. Hope you get it back out soon.

Yeah, they have a grease nut that can be installed to prevent that.  I've had that happen as well as my neighbor on his boat.  I think I remember heating it up to free it and then installing the fitting and regreasing the line.  I have a hydraulic now, so just dealing with leaks and no seizing.  Hope you fix that up.  It's a boat "pain in the ass" type of issue.

If you upgrade the steering, then you won't have to worry about it for a while, where as this problem would most likely happen again if you just regrease it.
You can't catch them from your computer chair.
