___Saturday___

1100-1230, high tide was an 0900 6.7

Knew I was gonna be pretty mobile, scouting out different stretches.

Spot A:

Lots of surfers. Should have been expected with 4-6' waves. Pretty nice break too. Sand structure was flattened from the storm, not freshly carved up like I was hoping. First cast my whole rig flew off. I laughed and walked away.

Spot B:

Still lots of surfers but enough room to work with. Inside break did look a little fishier. 40 minutes of working it produced zero bites.

Gave up and went to Charkbait for a bit, buying out the MORF grub stock.

___Sunday___

1200-1300

Tried another zone hoping for cleaner water. Water is brown everywhere, hard to say if it's just churned up or if it's red tide. Swell was way down though. Closer to 2'. Water feeling more frigid on my feets. Tidal height should have been around 4', similar to what I was fishing last weekend, but the nice inside trough before had essentially disappeared. I got 2 bites, 1 9" BSP to hand. Tough!

Brisk weather both days, pleasant and cool.

Water was chocolate brown last week down here too  ::)

Latimeria

No skunk on Sunday which was key.  Funny, the water in the bay yesterday was crystal clear.  I was actually surprised.
You can't catch them from your computer chair.
