Still Waiting... and Hoping Friday the 13th Would be It! (12/13)

I haven't landed a trout since the springtime.  All 6 trips have only given me Whisker Trout so with the recent stocking on Thursday, confidence was HIGH!

Pelicans all over and chasing trout.  This looks good!



One quick bite and miss... Other than that, I painted another rock....



I was surrounded by birders with big lenses and they were camped right at my rods.  I mentioned to them if the rod goes off, I'm going in a straight line to the rod and will snow plow anyone in the way of that straight line  (said with a smile of course).  Soon as I said that, the rod doubles over!  They quickly moved out of the way and I knew from the fight that it wasn't what I was hoping for.

Yay... Whisker Trout....



Not another nibble until the park closed.  Oh well, still another fun trip but these trout are being really elusive (at least for me).

Finally ordered my G Loomis trout rod, we'll see if I can volley some fish catching momentum with you on some after work trips soon. Or we both wallow in skunks.
