We did it. My oldest son,12 yes old, caught his first Bat Ray at around the stroke of midnight.  Taken out at Bat Ray Alley over by Crown Point Park. We fished for about 3.5 hours this time. Went to Lucky Seafood to load up with bait. No mackerel, so we were left with squid and large sardines. The sardines satisfied the bait thieves. Had little hits all night but nothing solid. Eldest son did catch a VERY motivated Spotty who ate a double squid bait. CPR'd of course.

The ray was only 27 inches wide but fought well considering it was on 40 lbs test. But the skunk streak is broken and a new door has opened.
