Wow!!! Super flat today, Conditions were in our favor except the salad which cleared out.

Time: fished outgoing 11:30am 2pm
Tide: Low tide - 2pm @ 2ft.
Sky: Overcast with small patches sun peak through
Waves: 1ft
Salad: moderate
Wind: 2-4mph
Water:  Very Clear

The day started out exciting. i get to the spot and Rick tried about a ways down the beach. At the end of one of my first few casts i see my Kroc in the water and give it a nice jerk to observe the action. and slowed my reelin. half a second after i jerk my kroc a HUGE calico Blows up on it 20 ft out. i was standing above and saw him with my polarized glass. NUTS! signal Rick over.

We throw Krocs for 20 mins. I switch to the Diawa SP minnow 6'. Hanging salad every cast. switch to hammer after 10 mins. Second cast i'm on! Rick switches and get hit first cast!

Then we Score a double!

Then this happens!

Rick goes on fire and gets 2 back to back WSB and a short halibut.
Followed by a short calico by me.

We get Another double hook up with both fishing hitting the sand at the same time. biggest calico of the day went 15.5

Switch to Rasta hammer because the Pacific anchovy hammer only produced 1 calico when rick pulled in a few more WSB.

I lost a sublegal halibut right at my feet in the reef. i'm srumbling back towards shore and it popped off. Bummer. Then dumped a small wsb at my feet again while i got turned over in the wave. Bad knee scrap. Felt a little better when Rick lost a decent WSB that bent the hook. (Turners lead head sucks). still bummed for him. We both missed a few bits as well today.

I kpet composure and got hammered with the best WSB of the day!

15 more mins and only this little Calico came out. on the Trap Rig hammer on a BT Sponge swimbait hammerhead.

Tide dropped out and the sun came out. the bite died. Today was insane. We had some spot stalkers as well. kept working their way towards us. luckily they dipped out before the action started hitting up. Not many pics of Ricks fish besides the doubles. Heres the Tally:

ME:
4 wsb, biggest at 20.5"
3 calico biggest at 15.5"
2 Lost at my feet( 1 hali,1wsb)
few missed connections.

Rick:
6 wsb!, biggest at 18-19"
3 calico biggest at 13.5"
1 small halibut
1 Lost wsb at his feet.
few missed connections

What a Blessed day. Truely magical. I needed this As Verne said. Thanks for reading guys.
