Change of Plans 6/14/15

 Had plans to hit a couple local brew pubs with my son. His girlfriend had other plans. I got stood up.

Nothing else to do but make the best of it and fish.

Arrived just before sunset and set to it.

Actually got a quick rip and drop at nearly the same time as Saturday night. At least I know they are still around.

Finally my bait gets taken and its fish on.


Nice leopard. Tagged too. My third.



More bait out, more waiting, and I get bit again.


On the small side. 65" or so. On mackerel. Surf 1-2. Female.

Its a work night so I set the timer to get going. I give myself a half hour to complete the surf shark slam.

Moments later I'm on again.



Fought it in and released it under the time limit, but I packed up and hit the road. Satisfied I got my moneys worth.

Would have had the tie with f I didn't farm one. Something to shoot for.

That is algae growing on a spaghetti tag. It is my third tagged leopard.

First one I left on the shark. Didn't report.

This one and the one before it I removed the tag and made an online report. No response from the researcher. Caan't read the tag without cleaning off the algae. At least now I have a couple souveniers.
