Went out with my buddy Thomas and Freddy to see what was going out there.  Made a quick stop for some nice big dines out of San Diego.  Ran out to the 9 to look around for some tuna.  We found a small paddy early (trash can lid)  I made a cast on it with a bait wraps mint squid surface iron.  got bit on the second cast but didnt stick.  thomas dropped a bait back for a long soak and was on.  we all pinned baits on but had to chase Thomas fish down a bit.  We found it it was tail wrapped.. We got the fish in and had a pod of porpoise roll through so we slid in front of them and long soaked baits.  Freddy and I got bit and had a double of nice BF.  fished around the area for a while, lots of fish rolling and metered.  metered fish from 300 to 60 ft.  No biters in the mix. found another pod and slid in front for Freddy to hook up again.  Wind was up and Freddy only bought to 7lb bags of ice.  So we decided to head in ad fish all the way.  Stopped on some birds,  and hit the whistler for some yt but no love we decided to make it a short day and were back at the dock by noon.  The BF were not line shy,  Braid to 6ft 35 and 40 lb flouro leaders.  Fun time.  Need to get out again soon...
Water was 69,  wind and white caps  lots of porpoise.  not alot of birds.  big fish rolling...All fish 40 to 42 lbs.

Thanks guys.  Thats Tommy,  eye gaff on 3 out of 4.  one took a shot behind the head because we were chasing one fish on a double hook up.
