22 Aug Solo Evening Session

Got to the beach at the peak of the high tide.  At the first soak, I got hit hard twice, and peeled some line out but didn't stick.  Destroyed the head of the mack.  Next I threw a tail section, and hooked up a small bat ray.  Seems like there's alot of juvy bats around.  Hooked on another head and sent it out there.  After about 20 minutes, I got knocked down.  Line was peeling out fast, thought it was a bigger model bat.  Turned out to be a nice leo.  When I got it to the beach, I saw that it got hooked on one of its fins.  Probably inhaled the head and then swam over the hook and snagged the bare hook.  Threw the last mack tail, it was getting mushy and I knew if a fish bit it and didn't reach the hook it's gone.  After 15 minutes, I heard the bell and saw my rod jerked then slack.  Yup, took the bait!  Called it quits, packed up and went home.
